The Joseph Cowen Lifelong Learning Centre(JCLLC) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) based in Newcastle upon Tyne. 


We run the Explore Lifelong Learning programme , both online via Zoom and Face-to-Face in central Newcastle at Brunswick Methodist Church rooms.

The Joseph Cowen Lifelong Learning Centre enriches lives by providing outstanding opportunities for lifelong learning for people in the North-East.

Who is, or was, Joseph Cowen?

The CIO is named after the eminent Newcastle MP and philanthropist Joseph Cowen the Younger (1825-1900) whose statue stands on Westgate Road.
